Registration for the Silk Flower Workshop on:

April 13th 9:30AM - 12:30PM

@ Left In Stitches, Inc.

905 I St. Fortuna, CA 95540

Registration is limited to 10 participants, ages 18 and above.

In our Silk Flower Workshop, participants will learn the art of upcycling scraps of silk fabric into beautiful silk flowers. This hands-on workshop is designed for individuals of all skill levels who have a passion for learning new crafts.

Materials are included in price, except for your project piece that you will bring to embellish with silk flowers and embroidery.

Bring with you something that you wish to adorn; a blouse, a sweater, a bag, whatever your heart desires. We would strongly suggest that you choose something that will be thin enough to sew through somewhat easily. Choose a piece that you do not mind hand washing in cold water after it is embellished.

You will learn essential sewing techniques tailored for silk flowers, including cutting, stitching, and shaping.

You will have the option to incorporate leaves for an added touch. Decide on the placement of your silk flowers before securing them onto your piece. After attaching your silk flowers, you can embellish around it by embroidering leaves and vines.

By the end of the workshop, participants will have gained the confidence and skills to create and explore the world of silk flowers on their own.

Washing Instructions: Your project piece will be somewhat delicate after it is embellished. It will need to be hand washed in cold water to keep the sheen on the silk and the whole project area fresh and intact.
